Privacy policy for MediLog
Data Collection
- MediLog does not collect, store, or share any personal data from users.
- All data entered into the app remains solely on the user’s device unless explicitly transmitted by the user.
- It does not contain advertisements and no trackers.

Data Security
- Data is stored locally on your device in the apps protected storage.
- MediLog supports optional biometric authentication to restrict access to the app. If disabled, access depends solely on device security.
Communication with the developer
- MediLog optionally allows you to send feedback to the developer.
This feature is disabled by default.
You can choose to send feedback manually or enable daily updates, which will send the same non-personal, aggregated information.
The transmitted data includes:
a randomly generated installation ID that is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you across apps or services
aggregated usage statistics (e.g. number of entries per tab)
No personal health data or content entered by you is transmitted.
- In the event of an application crash, you may be prompted to send a crash report.
Sending crash reports is entirely optional. Crash reports do not contain any of your entered data.
GDPR Compliance
MediLog processes personal health data exclusively on your device.
The developer does not have access to this data and does not act as a data processor or controller for user data stored within the app.
Where data is voluntarily transmitted (e.g. feedback or crash reports), the legal basis is your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
As the developer does not store or process personal data, many data subject rights (such as access, rectification, or deletion) are generally not applicable.

MediLog requests the following permissions:
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to create backup files
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to restore backup files
- USE_BIOMETRIC: Enables biometric authentication
- INTERNET: Required only for optional feedback submission and external links
